Ce n'est pas exactement le 1er coussin que j'ai jamais fait (j'ai déja utilisé une machine à coudre...il y a des années, mais ca ne s'oublie pas!), mais c'est le premier depuis longtemps, le premier pour notre maison de campagne, et le premier orné d'un pochoir fait maison ! Mon chéri étant malade, j'ai occupé ma journée à me fabriquer un pochoir (texte imprimé, décalqué sur du carton, ensuite évidé), puis à faire le motif sur le tissu en lin (et à le retoucher au pinceau, il y avait quelques dégâts!), puis j'ai fait le coussin en suivant les explications très claires (mais en anglais) de Angela de Cottage Magpie (voir ici)...et voilà le résultat !! Je suis bien contente de mon 1er essai ! It is not exactly my first cushion ever (I already used a sawing machine but years ago),. but it's the first in a long time, the first for our new cottage house, and the first with a home-made stenciled pattern ! My darling was sick so I kept myself busy by making my own pencil (print a text, reproduced on cartin used transparent tracing paper, then cut out the carton), then stenciled the pattern on some linen fabric (and made necessary corrections with a thin brush), then I sewed the cushion by following the very clear instructions of Angela on her blog Cottage Magpie (see here)...and here is the result ! I am pretty happy with it !!

3 Janvier 2009 Quelle ironie: je vis dans le pays du froid, au Québec....et j'adore le style scandinave, cette autre région du monde où l'hiver impose sa loi ! Les images ci-dessous sont une source d'inspiration, j'aime le calme et la sérénité qui s'en dégage. Elle proviennent toutes du magasin norvégien Slettvoll.
