Certains diront que c'est du luxe....moi je dis que c'est un plaisir, un merveilleux outil de relaxation si nécessaire dans cette vie de fous, et un baume pour les douleurs lombaires! Qu'est-ce ? Un spa ! Mon chéri en rêve depuis longtemps, j'avoue qu'il m'a fallu quelques essais pour être convaincue (je ne suis pas une grande fan de l'eau en général).
Avec la nouvelle maison (au fait, J-4 pour la signature!) on aura désormais l'espace...et comme c'est en ce moment la période idéale, tous les magasins liquidant leur stock, on a craqué ! Spa pour 6 personnes acheté le week-end dernier !!
Some people would say it is luxury....I'm saying it is a pleasure, a great way to relax and recover from our crazy urban life, and to cure the back pains ! What is it ? A spa, yes a hot tub ! My darling dreams of having one for ages, I had to try myself a few times to be conviced (I am usually not much a fan of water).
With the new house (btw it is D-Day minus 4), we'll have the space for it...and the timing is perfect as most stores get rid of their in-stock items right now with a good discount, so we bought one last week-end! A spa for 6 people !

Maintenant, je fais tout mon possible pour le faire installer avant décembre (ensuite le gel empêche l'installation): j'ai trouvé un excavateur pour creuser et faire une dalle compactée de poussière de pierre, un ami paysagiste nous fait les plans de la terrasse pour déterminer son emplacement exact, je m'assure que l'électricien pourra venir faire les branchements,...! Ce serait idéal de pouvoir en proiter cet hiver, se reposer d'une dure journée de rénovations, en admirant le jardin sous son blanc manteau...Now I rush to make sure we can have it installed before December (before it gets too cold and frozen): I found an excavation company to dig a bit and prepare the soil, a friend of us doing some outdoor design is preparing the plan of the deck to determine exactly where the spa will go, and I make sure the electrician will come to hook it up ! It'd be great to have it for the winter, relax at the end of a hard renovation day, admiring the garden covered with snow...

Le spa sera encastré dans la future terrasse (que l'on construira au printemps), il sera ainsi au niveau du sol, ce qui est à la fois plus joli et plus pratique, comme on le voit ci-dessous. Les plans de terrasse seront bientôt prêts (merci Eric!), il y aura certainement 2 niveaux de terrasse: un premier pour le barbecue et la table, puis 2-3 marches plus bas le spa.
The spa will be inground into the future deck (to be built next spring), it will then be at the floor-level, much nicer and practical too, as we can see below. The plans of the deck will soon be ready (thank you Eric!), it will probably consist of a first level for the outdoor table and the barbecue, then a lower level 2-3 steps down with the spa.

Autour du spa on installera des banquettes intégrées (en bois) avec plein de coussins, pour s'étendre langoureusement et se remettre du bain chaud..
Some comfy built-in banquettes with loads of cushions will be around the spa to lay down lazily and recover from the hot bath...
